Satvikam — an enterprise group · Gujarat, India

Refining the elements that build a nation.

Focus — Bromine, recovered from marine bittern.

Satvikam builds essential materials infrastructure: the advanced recovery and refining of raw elements that modern industry cannot run without. The work is done with ecological discipline and scientific rigour, and it is measured in decades.

Position

We speak in decades, not quarters.

The name comes from the Sanskrit sāttvika — purity, clarity, balance. Applied at industrial scale, it reduces to one instruction: do the essential thing, and do it cleanly.

Every number we publish must first survive a mass balance. If the stoichiometry does not close, neither does the claim.

Ventures

Three ventures. One discipline.

In validation

Kshara

A Satvikam enterprise

Liquid bromine, recovered from marine bittern on the Gujarat coast. Feedstock chemistry is assayed before design; the process route is chosen to suit the brine as it is, not as a brochure assumes it to be.

Monaz

A Satvikam enterprise

Separation and refining of the seventeen elements on which magnets, motors and modern electronics depend. Capacity India largely imports today — built here, deliberately, to exacting purity.

Battery-metal recovery. Spent lithium-ion cells returned to battery grade — lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese — by hydrometallurgy, inside a closed loop.

One standard Two recover their elements from the earth — brine, ore. One recovers them from the discarded. Each carries its own name and a single line — A Satvikam enterprise — and answers to the same standard.

Method

Four gates. In order. Every time.

Projects fail on assumptions, not on chemistry. So nothing advances to the next gate until the previous one closes.

Gate 01

Assay

No basis of design is accepted until the feedstock itself has been measured. The brine decides the flowsheet — never the other way around.

Gate 02

Balance

Stoichiometry must close. A flowsheet that cannot conserve mass cannot be trusted to conserve capital.

Gate 03CSIR–CSMCRI

Validate

Processes are proven in coordination with national research institutions before a single foundation is poured.

Gate 04

Scale

Engineered within the regulatory frame from the first drawing — not retrofitted to it after the fact.

Where the elements go

Quiet inputs to loud industries.

Bromine

Flame retardancy

Brominated compounds keep electronics, construction materials and textiles from burning.

Bromine

Pharmaceutical intermediates

A workhorse of organic synthesis across APIs and speciality chemistry.

Bromine

Agrochemistry

Crop-protection actives and fumigants that underwrite food security.

Bromine

Energy storage

Zinc–bromine and flow-battery chemistries for long-duration grid storage.

Rare earths

Permanent magnets

NdFeB magnets — the highest-density magnetic material industry has.

Rare earths

Electric mobility

Traction motors in electric vehicles run on refined rare-earth inputs.

Rare earths

Wind generation

Direct-drive turbines depend on rare-earth magnets to convert wind to power.

Rare earths

Precision electronics

Phosphors, polishing media and micro-motors in the devices in every hand.

We make the inputs. Industry makes the rest.

Ground

Gujarat. Where brine becomes industry.

This coastline has worked salt for centuries; its bitterns carry the chemistry the next century needs. Satvikam's flagship facility for advanced materials recovery rises here — on ground chosen for its resources, its logistics and its light.

A flagship facility in Gujarat.

Further particulars — location, footprint, capacity — will be published when the ground itself warrants them. Until then, the work continues without commentary.

Writing from inside the work.

N°01Forthcoming

The assay comes first

Why a single laboratory measurement of the feedstock outranks every spreadsheet built without it — and what it costs to skip.

N°02Forthcoming

Sāttvika, at industrial scale

Purity, clarity and balance sound like philosophy. Inside a chemical plant, they are operating instructions.

N°03Forthcoming

Why India refines

The strategic case for building domestic capacity in the elements a manufacturing nation cannot keep importing.
